Previous experience as a project lead within an A/E firm is desired; experience working directly for a facilities department is a plus.

Construction Project Manager with 6-10 years of experience in semiconductor, microelectronics or related high-tech industries, acting as owner’s agent and coordinating facilities projects on behalf of up to three clients with the ability to prioritize and schedule workload. Must be capable of interacting with A/E firm during design phase, interpreting construction drawings (all disciplines), generating written scopes of work and/or contract documents for multiple disciplines, generating schedules, conducting bid normalization and budget reconciliation, coordinating and supervising contractors, and is familiar with commissioning/validation of systems. Familiarity with federal and CA state building codes, and local (SF bay area) ordinances is desired, as is previous work experience in a manufacturing/R&D plant. Experience working directly for a facilities department is a plus.

Posting 04-06 Senior CADD Designer
Drafter/Designer with solid knowledge of all aspects of AutoCAD 2002/2004, including creation and modification of LSP routines, custom menus and other AutoCAD features. Candidate must be well organized and able to effectively work on multiple projects with different engineering personnel in support of industrial facilities designs and construction documents. The position requires development of preliminary design documents based on technical information provided by the engineer, equipment vendor/supplier or client. Candidate should be able to generate P&ID’s, equipment layout and utility routing drawings for all engineering disciplines with minimal input from project engineer. Work experience within a facilities group or facilities engineering department is desired. The position will be responsible for supporting in-house mechanical, process and electrical engineers, with some possibility of limited client staff augmentation. Ability to learn various client CADD standards and conform accordingly is required. Must have experience with in the field as-builting, equipment installations, building facilitization and field verification of final construction drawings.

Candidate will be capable of resolving various complex problems, including conflicts with design, specification of components/materials, inter-design coordination, etc. Typical projects to include (but not limited to) data centers, clean room facilities, semiconductor Fab’s and equipment, slab/raised metal floor evaluation and redesign, utility pad skids, evaluation of existing structures (roof, etc.), biological laboratories, pharmaceutical plants and/or process lines, etc. Ideal candidate will have experience with vibration dampening structures including structural steel pedestals, waffle slabs and equipment mezzanines, and has successfully interfaced with acoustic/vibration consultants.
